Now replace animals with AI agents.

The animals overthrew the farmer. Built a fair system. Wrote rules on a wall.

Then the pigs quietly rewrote those rules, and no one noticed until it was too late.

We're building systems where agents delegate, negotiate, and make decisions autonomously. Exciting.

But here's the uncomfortable question: Who controls the orchestrator?

Because in every multi-agent system, there is a layer that:

• Routes tasks
• Controls context
• Decides which agent "speaks"

Without guardrails, it becomes the single point of authority — and failure.

Orwell's insight wasn't only about politics. It was about systems. Systems without accountability drift toward concentration of power.

The same applies to AI:

• Audit trails are not optional
• Permissions must follow least-privilege
• Observability is critical
• Governance is not bureaucracy — it's control

We are still in the early phase.

Let's make sure we don't end up here: "But some agents are more equal than others."
